Arrived in Pecs yesterday evening, so quite a long day after visiting Keszthely and Heviz. Following a couple of cooler days the temperature picked right up again today. Thank goodness it was tempered by a bit of cloud at times! Spent the day in the older part of Pecs, which firmly lived up to its billing of being second only to Budapest in terms of must see cities in Hungary. A thoroughly enjoyable sortie. Some general pics attached. Couldn't resist the first one!! Change of plan for tomorrow. Was going straight to Zargreb but will now drop into northern Serbia for a couple of days first. It will conserve a few miles in the longer term and I'm already close to 3000!! I intend to spend a couple of hours in a city called Subotica, before moving on to Novi Sad where I will probably spend at least 2 nights, maybe 3. I'll see how I get on.
Just sitting outside a restaurant near the hotel where the guy looked after me very well last night with some traditional tucker. And he is going to surprise me again tonight. Looking forward to it!
Other news hot off the press is that one if my best friends is going to join me for a while early next month. Looking forward to that more!!!
