Hungary, Budapest day 2

Blistering again. Spent the day in Pest and the highlight was undoubtedly the indoor market. What a cameo of local life. Sat and had a couple of beers and just people watched for an hour or so. The food stalls were amazing. Would have eaten there but it started to shut down around three. I was a bit disappointed truth be told. But a really good day nonetheless. Took in the major sights but didn't bother too much with Margaret Island once I found out it was no longer a harem!! Parliament Buildings, The Great Synagogue, St Stephens Basilica and The Opera House all architecturally outstanding. City park was a tad scruffy and somewhat below par comparatively. Just Memento Park to do in the morning. Then I'll drive to Sventendre for a couple of hours before moving down to Siofac on Lake Balaton.
Couple of pictures of the market to start. Unfortunately these were taken towards closing time so you won't  get a feel of the atmosphere!
Be good,
G x
