Croatia, Dalmatia, Zadar

Was going to do a bit in Istria but started out for it yesterday and you just wouldn't believe the traffic. I cracked on for a bit and then turned turtle for the motorway and dropped down into Dalmatia. Lonely Planet does say it gets flooded with tourists. Also that there's nothing other than a small fishing village called Rovinj that's particularly remarkable. So, I'm in a city called Zadar at the moment. I arrived yesterday evening and I'm in the tent again and loving it. It turned into a long day yesterday as I didn't leave Koper until mid day. Then by the time I faffed around and took the decision to come here it left me with the best part of a 250 mile drive! Dalmatia is the central bit of Croatia's Adriatic Coast line and Zadar overlooks a number if it's Adriatic islands. Zadar's  historic old town is remarkable and it boasts what it calls the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation - look them up on Google!! The sea front is also very attractive although not a beach to be had! I've included another sea front attraction in the pictures. Look out for it!! Considering taking on the drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park tomorrow but it's a 6 hour round trip and not particularly on my way to Split which will be my next base. Will decide later.
