Gave the wine tasting a good go and some of it was actually OK! Not a lot but some!! However the real highlight of the day was meeting Tom. He was the last port of call on our tour. His wine was actually the best of the day and we stayed in his cellar a while. But of more significance was the dialogue we had about his life in communist Bulgaria and his passion for rock music that he developed as a young man secretely listening to Radio Luxemberg!! Can you believe it? He was caught on one occasion and imprisoned for 3 days because of it. He and his wife also run a restaurant in the town and John and I went and ate there that evening to carry on the discussion. We had a great night! Picture attached.
