Romania, Sighisoara

Spent my last day in Transylvania in a town called Sighisoara. As with Sibou, it's a bit like stepping into a kids fairytale in places! Fortified, cobbled, colourful and gingerbread!! And, allegedly the best preserved citadel in Europe!! There is a rather macabre side to the town however; Sighisoara is also the birthplace of one 'Vlad Tepes', also known as 'Vlad the Impaler'!! Something to do with stakes and bottoms(!!) and seemingly another influence on Stoker in his writing of Dracula! The house where he was born is now a restaurant and you can pay a few leu to see the actual bedroom if you're so inclined!!
The yellow house in the attached picture!!
