Into Transylvania proper now and legend has it that the Pied Piper of Hamlin, the man himself, actually re-emerged in Brasov!! What with that and the guy with the funny teeth Transylvania has a lot to answer for! Unfortunately, as yet, I haven't seen so many of the reputed hill top castles and fortified churches that the guide books ulagise over! But there's still time! Anyway back to Brasov. Once again it didn't do for me what it clearly does to the author of Lonely Planet, but I found the old town and square quite lovely.
